Associate Therapist

Alvarado Therapy is a warm, relational, and EMDR-focused group practice serving teens and adults across California through a hybrid model of in-person and virtual care. We are committed to supporting associate therapists as they grow into confident, grounded clinicians.

Who We’re Looking For
Master’s Degree
Completed a master’s program in Professional Clinical Counseling (PCC), Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), or Clinical Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
Active registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an:
Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC),
Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), or
Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW)
Prior practicum or trainee clinical experience
Interest in trauma and attachment-focused work
Interest in being trained in EMDR
Openness to feedback, growth, and consultation
Strong clinical boundaries and ethical practice
Aligned with cultural humility and cycle-breaking work
Familiarity using evidence based practices is a plus.
Flexible scheduling including evening and weekends if needed.

Licensed Therapist
(LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, PSYD, PHD)

Alvarado Therapy is a trauma-responsive, multicultural group practice grounded in EMDR, attachment, and relational healing. We support teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, complex trauma, and life transitions with care, depth, and intentionality.
This role is ideal for licensed clinicians who want clinical autonomy without professional isolation.

Who We’re Looking For
Active, unrestricted California license as an:
LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist)
LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker)
PsyD/PhD in Clinical Psychology
Comfortable maintaining a consistent caseload
Interest in trauma-informed and relational work
Interest in being trained in EMDR
Strong clinical judgment and ethical boundaries
Ability to work independently while engaging with a team
Desire to grow within a supportive group practice
Familiarity with evidence based practices
Experience working with diverse populations
Open to flexible scheduling, including evenings and/or weekends as needed.
Licensed clinicians may also have the opportunity to mentor, consult, or step into leadership roles as the practice continues to grow.
